Travesía- 2014
Installation, graphite and ink drawing on tiles.
Variable dimensions

Travesía, a tiled floor intervened by contour drawings that draw the topography of a hilly area near Jaca (Spain), introduces us literally in the landscape, or to be more precise, in the territory, in the graphic and abstract representation of itself. A representation that is bi-dimensional and that after living, after transiting, becomes a different landscape as our experimentation means that the floor will finally break creating a new topography, very different from the previous one. Through this work I ask myself how the landscape can be marked by our presence, becoming a historical setting, which condenses episodes or events in which the human being is the primary agent of change.
